The Camisole Project lost many of the donated items used in their Because We Care Packages due to a serious flood at BodyMed Boutique (facilitator of the project). Barb Daize (founder), was heartbroken to have lost care items used in the packages she gives away to women going through breast cancer surgery. “There was a tremendous loss of product due to water damage.” Barb reached out to the community to see if there were any donations to be had.
Well, her tribe of followers and supporters did come through in spades.
Sarah from Burlington Taxi, Socks for Hope was the first to reach out and offer help. With that Connie Price from SSCI heard about it and brought our request to her group.
The Camisole Project was honored to receive a $10,000 donation from the Burlington Seniors Community. “We are thrilled with the generosity“, says Barb. “This money will go such a long way in helping replenish the packages.”

In addition to that large donation the community has responded with over $2800 in cash donations and many in-kind-gifts like socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste and more.
“We have received UNBELIEVABLE support from our community & clients. We are so grateful that The Camisole Project can continue to support women.”, says Barb.
